NICOLE GUILLEMARD, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Nicole Guillemard brings to PRFAA vast experience in public affairs, political campaigns, and strategic communications.  Before joining PRFAA, Ms. Guillemard worked at a D.C.-based strategic communications firm where she developed crisis communications and public affairs strategies for organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to nonprofit organizations and foreign governments. 

Prior to that, she served as Director of Specialty Media and Spokesperson at the White House where she was the primary spokesperson responsible for conveying President George W. Bush's agenda to Hispanic, African-American, and other specialty media outlets. In addition, she was responsible for developing and implementing the White House's specialty media communications strategy, and briefing the President and senior staff in preparation for interviews and taped messages targeting specialty audiences. In 2007, Ms. Guillemard traveled with the President on his eighth trip to Latin America visiting Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico.

Prior to her work at the White House, Ms. Guillemard served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Press Secretary for Congressman Luis Fortuño (R-PR) in the U.S. Congress. During that time, she helped coordinate message development, media relations, third-party alliances, and constituency outreach.  During the 2004 presidential campaign, Ms. Guillemard was Director of Outreach Communications at the Republican National Committee (RNC), where she oversaw a team responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy, including rapid response operations, targeting all minority media outlets and coalitions. She also oversaw the implementation of the specialty media strategy in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

Before joining the RNC, Ms. Guillemard served as Outreach Coordinator and Confidential Assistant for Hispanic Affairs and Special Initiatives at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under Secretary Tommy G. Thompson. She was also a Legislative Assistant at Verner, Lipfert, Bernhard, McPherson and Hand, and Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant at the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration.
